With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gloria Lafont Esponge of Galliano, Louisiana, born in Cut Off, Louisiana, who passed away on December 17, 2020 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her husband Clannis Esponge; her parents, Oristle Lafont and Octavie Lafont; her grandson Jobie Esponge; and her siblings, Herman Lafont, Elta Duet and Yola St. Pierre.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Lafont Brooks (Michael), Nickie Esponge and Vickie Esponge; her stepchildren, Harold Esponge, Verly Duet and Phil Esponge; her grandchildren, Monty, Jace, Lindy, Angelle, Tristan, Nicholas, Kacey and Trey; and her great grandchildren, Eden, Ivy and Oliver. She is also survived by 9 step-grandchildren.
