It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie James Berthelot Sr. of Galliano, Louisiana, born in Saint Martinville, Louisiana, who passed away on April 8, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Mary Boudreaux Berthelot; his parents, Antoine Alcee and Yuline LeBlanc Berthelot; and his son Richard John Berthelot. He is survived by: his children, Eddie J. Berthelot, Jr., Annette B. Guidry (Howie), Suzette T. Davis (John), Dinah (Tate) and Dena (Adrien); his siblings, Allen Berthelot (Barbara), Roland Berthelot (Diane) and Shirley B. Ledet (Mervin "Tookie"); his grandchildren, Valerie (Travis), Kayla (Jon), Claire (Brandon), Linsey (Brian), Tedi (Brendon), Briana (JoJo), Anthony (Dorian), Tyler, Drake and John Tate; his great grandchildren, Aliza, Aleiya, Jacques, Alyana, Alexa, Jaxton, Kenley, Ruthie, Brynley, JonPaul, Theo and Bexley; and his caregiver Melissa. He is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
