He was predeceased by: his parents, Artis Tate (Juanita) and Juanita Tate (Magee); his wife Carnell Tate (Warren); his daughter Denise Tate Bickham; his siblings, Jeanette Hart (Tate) and Wardell Tate; and his son-in-law Wallace Walker.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Tate Walker of Franklinton, LA, Edith Warren (Kenneth) of Franklinton, LA, Elder Jimmy Tate (Nettie Lee) of Franklinton, LA, Cedric Tate (Jeanette) of Franklinton, LA, Alton Tate of Franklinton, LA and Winzlo Tate, Jr. of Slidell, LA; his son-in-law Curtis Bickham, Sr. of Franklinton, LA; his sister Brenda Jonell Magee (Bernard); and his siblings-in-law, Audrey Tate and Calis Hart. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
