She was predeceased by: her husband William Morgan; her sons, Donnie James Yates and Jerry Dean Morgan; her father Walter Simon Harrell (Donnie Mae Knight Harrell); and her siblings, Irene McCain (Francis Arinder), D. S. Harrell, Walter Harrell, Jr. and Charles Harrell.

She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Brewster (Scott) of Franklinton, Gerald Alex Yates (Robin) of Gonzales, Gary Wayne Yates (Deborah) of Ponchatoula, LA and Johnny Ray Morgan (Lisa) of Metairie, LA; and her sisters, Billie Sue Pittman of Kokomo, MS, Millie Mae Bass of Pensacola, FL and Katherine Stanford (Johnny) of Columbia, MS. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.
