She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Gatlin and Aldonia Gatlin; her husband Deacon Jimmy Lee Garrett; and her sisters, Betty Esquivel (Paul), Dorothy Branscumb (Will) and Dianne Geese (Eddie).
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Dale Garrett, Jr. (Justine), Donia Brown (Robert), Veatrice James (Ricky Sr.) and Cynthia Navarre, Sr. (Byron); her brother Ted Gatlin; her siblings-in-law, Donnie Ray Hart (Marilyn), Celia Garrett, Arlene Garrett McKay, Margie McGary (Alvin) and Joyce; and her godson David Cook, Jr.. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
