She was predeceased by: her parents, Nead Tate and Audrey Anthony; her friend Ella Ruth Lott; her stepfather Arcell Anthony; her daughter Toni Graves; and her siblings, Ella Mae Bolton, Freddie Mae Harvey, Gloria Dean McNeil, James, Willie, Nead and Causey Tate.
She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Butler (Paul) of Baton Rouge, LA; her sister Pauline Barbarin of New Orleans; her grandchildren, Toya Tate, Travon Harris, Antonio Graves, Antoine Graves, Jr. of Franklinton, LA, Nicole Butler and Tyra Tate Magee of Houston, TX; her great grandchildren, Jalyn, Jyren, Jayla, Jade, Kaden, Taylor, Travon Jr., Talice and Jaeli; and her friends, Edna Lowe, Brenda Partman and Johnnie Jenkins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Greater Hayes Creek Missionary Baptist Church (31499 Hayes Creek Rd, Franklinton, LA 70438). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
