He is survived by : his wife Antoinette Darby Smith of Franklin, Louisiana; his children, Jaylen Darby of Franklin, Louisiana, Justin Richardson, Jr. of Franklin, Louisiana and E'Nyria Darby of Franklin, Louisiana; his grandfather James Carson, Jr.; and his brothers, Larry James Smith, Sr. of Franklin and Deddrick Conner of Santa Monica, California.
