He is survived by: his wife Etta Pellerin Smith; his daughter Monique Smith; his grandchildren, Ananda Smith and Ashton Smith; his sister-in-law Blanche Pellerin; and his nieces and nephews, Kevin Thompson, Kenny Thompson, Michael Harrison, Temika Harrison, Octavius Shields, Denise Shields, Elaine Carothers, Nicole Thompson-Williams and Fred "Bo" Thompson. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
