Laverne Banks Obituary

She was predeceased by: her husband James Lamar Banks (Buddy); her brother John L. Scott; and her son-in-law John Starnes. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Lisa Starnes, Jay Banks and Jerry Banks; her daughter-in-law Rene Banks; her grandchildren, Dr. Kathryn Starnes Orth (Simon), Sean Scott Starnes (Chelsie), Eric Joshua Banks (Ashley), Mallory Banks Williams (Jared) and Caleb Banks; and her great grandchildren, Hayden Banks, Allister Starnes, Macon and Broc Williams.
Several years ago she donated 55 bears from her collection to Leo's Teddy Bear Foundation, a group that provides bears to police for children in distress.
