He was predeceased by : his parents, Bobby Joe and Pauline Compton; his grandchild Van Joseph Hunt; and his brothers-in-law, Kelly Deslatte and Herman Bourliea.
He is survived by : his wife Barbara Bourliea Compton; his children, Shane Compton, Kayla Strubb and Katie Strubb; his grandchildren, Madelyn Compton, Shaelyn Compton, Aidyn Compton, Keelon Huval, Kameron Huval and Gianna Huval; his siblings, Bobby Compton (Janet) and Paula Compton Deslatte; his friend Kim Burleson; and his godchild Darelle Deslatte Bergeron. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
