He was predeceased by: his son Ronald Jost; his grandson Todd Weishuhn; and his brothers-in-law, Mike Franke, James Schniers and Schniers.
He is survived by: his children, Belinda Jost Weishuhn (David), Steven Jost (Jessi) and Stuart Jost (Cassie); his grandchildren, Amy Weishuhn Schwartz (Justin), Jordan Jost, Saegan Jost Cockerham (Keet), Edwin Jost, Wyatt Jost, Mylieh Jost, Cadence Jost and Faith Jost; his great grandchildren, Amber Schwartz, Brenly Schwartz and Stevie Lee Cockerham; and his siblings, Wilbert Jost (June), Eugene Jost (Marilee), Virginia Jost Franke (late Mike) and Loretta Jost Fohn (Louis). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
