He is survived by: his wife Althylee (Anne); his children, Jack Douglas (Ikumi Schade) of Fort Polk, John Garrett (Carin Schade) of Littleton and Jana Annette Schade of Erie; his grandchildren, Jack Hudson and Sloane Anne Schade; and his siblings, Williard Thalman, Les Thalman and Shirley Hickey.
