With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Monroe (Forest, Louisiana), born in McAlester, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 3, 2018 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Cothran and Frieda Cothran (James Byron Monroe). She is survived by: her spouse James Byron Monroe; her children, Byron Ray Monroe (Sandra), James Keith Monroe (Lisa Hill), Gianna Hill and Connie Lynn Booker (Barry); her granddaughter Jordan Monroe; and her brother Timmy Cothran.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
