She was predeceased by: her parents, Hayden Johns and Bessie Chamberlain Poole; her husband Coy A. Purkey of Purkey's Nursery; her son Coy Warden Purkey; and her brothers, H. J. Poole, Jr. (Beverly) and Harold Poole, Sr. (Estelle).
She is survived by: her children, John Purkey (Laurie "Cindy" Crowe), Nancy Purkey Campbell (C. T.) and Roxann Purkey Harvey (William David); her grandsons, Coy E. Purkey (Lacye), William Britt Harvey (Laura), Caleb A. Purkey (Jennifer) and Bradd D. Harvey (Rachel); her great grandchildren, Jacob, Gracie Harvey, Ashley, Matthew Purkey, Ashton, Asherr Harvey, Lindsay, Riley and Coy R. Purkey; her brother Larry R. Poole (Toni); and her friend Mattie Harris of Lecompte.
In lieu of flowers, the family has designated Christian Worship Center Family Life Center Fund, 6101 Masonic Drive, Alexandria, LA 71301, for memorial contributions.
