He was predeceased by: his close friend Frances Rae Lee Saurage; his parents, Shelby Poolson Sr. and Hazel Yvonne Sanders Whitehead; his brothers, Shelby Poolson Jr., Keith Poolson and Gary Poolson; his brother-in-law Don Burnthorn; his grandparents, Daniel, Madeline Anthony Sanders, William Franklin Poolson and Ethel Farve Poolson Jewel; and his aunt Lucy Populis Clements.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Johnson (Rusty), John Paul Poolson (Amy) and Kelly Renee Poolson; his grandchildren, Ava Johnson, Noah Poolson, Sarah Johnson and Liam Paul Poolson; his sisters, Cathy Poolson, Connie Burnthorn and Charlynn Whitehead; his sister-in-law Loretta Poolson; his fiancée Lana Hill; and also, Frances Saurage, Cassie DuBose, Daniel Saurage, Jake Saurage, Reiss Saurage, Alicia Welty Matthews, Stacy Welty Owens, Brittney Brewster, Lindsey, Trey, Noelle, Gabrielle, Jacob Jr., Jaxon, Ozzy and Ella Rae. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
