He was predeceased by: his parents, Juanita Hazel Bruhl Core and James Jacob Core. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Susanne Ogden Core; his children, Joseph "Joe" Core, Christina Core DelVescovo, Amy Strain (Bilbo) and Marshall Core (Britni); his grandchildren, Erika Erwin, William Strain (Erin), Anthony DelVescovo, Skylar DelVescovo, Easton Dagro and Francesca Core; his sisters, Janet Susan Core and Patricia Ann Core; and his friend Ray Lindsey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
A wake was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the E. J. Fielding Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433). Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Red Bluff Baptist Church (15204 LA-1078, Folsom, LA 70437). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
