He was predeceased by: his parents, Estelle Galloway Core and Ulmer George Core; and his brother Jerry Lynn Core. He is survived by: his wife Mary Parker Core; his daughters, Joice Core Holden (Jeremy) and Estelle Core McCarty (Wesley); and his grandchildren, Hayden McCarty, Grant McCarty, Liam McCarty, Daniel Luke Holden (Taylor), Haley Holden Hughes (Kobey), David Holden (Tristen) and Nathan Josiah Holden.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fitzgerald United Methodist Church (80007 Fitzgerald Church Rd, Covington, LA 70435). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Fitzgerald Church (80007 Fitzgerald Church Rd, Covington, LA 70435).
