He was predeceased by: his parents, Felo Reed and Elva Populis Reed; his daughters, Earlene L. Reed and Edwinna Jenkins; and his grandson Joshua B. Ougel.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Coburn Reed; his children, Earl Reid Jr. (Carla), Jeff Reid (Brenda), Carol Summerlin (John), Emily Ougel (Anthony) and Stephanie Salter (Billy); and his sister Theresa Reid. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
