He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lewis and Tinie Wyatt Lewis; and his siblings, Ruth McCracken, Evelyn Shepherd, Bill Lewis, Ronnie Lewis and Larry Lewis.
He is survived by: his former wife Hazel Harrell; his children, Dianne and Byron Jay; his wife Linda Matthews Weldon; his stepchildren, Tammie, Pam and Donovan; his grandchildren, Jason Hopkins (Aline), John Michael Hopkins (Marti), Andrew Hopkins (Jaycie), Elizabeth Lewis, Mark Lewis (Jordan), Cherish Davis (Travis), Lance Keys (Jessica), Devin Keys (Rachel), Travis Duplantis (Emily), Aimee Fultz (Carl), Joshua Flynn (Cat), Abbey Flynn, Justin Weldon (Meagan) and Taylor Weldon; and his great grandchildren, Cole Hopkins, Keely Hopkins, Caleb Hopkins, Audrey Hopkins, Helena Hopkins, Penelope Hopkins, Mallerie Laird (Bret), Preston Davis, Jazzlynn Keys, Jayla Keys, Sawyer Duplantis, Autumn Duplantis, Sydney Flynn, Robyn Flynn, Audie Keyes, Daxton and Hadlee Fultz. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
