She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Shuford and Mary Alice Williams Treese; her stepfather Robert V. Treese; and her brother Alvin Monroe "Dick" Shuford. She is survived by: her husband W. J. "Bill" Nixon of Florien, Louisiana; her children, Genia Kleven (Keith) of Florien, Louisiana, Andrew L. Nixon (Tracy) of West Folk and Billy Nixon of Florien, Louisiana; and her siblings, Debbie Perser (Larry) of Florien, Reba Lopez (Abel) of Sargent, Rita Lewing (Rue) of Noble, Louisiana and Robert Treese (Sheila) of Florien, Louisiana. She is also survived by Six Grandchildren, Five Great-Grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
