He was predeceased by: his parents, Evon Thaxton and Vernie Thaxton (Weldon); and his brother-in-law Elvis Browning. He is survived by: his wife Evon Thaxton of Florien, LA; his children, Onita Jones (Imon) of Florien, LA, Ronda Sue Thaxton of Florien, LA and Wade Thaxton (Debra) of Florien, LA; his siblings, Betty Browning of Florien, LA, Helen Ellzey (Carroll) of Florien, LA, Ruth Sparks (Dennis) of Florien, LA, Gwenda Sepulvado (Joe Pat) of Florien, LA, Charlie Ray Thaxton (Patsy) of Florien, LA, John David Thaxton (Glenda) of Many, LA and Doug Thaxton (Louise) of Florien; and his grandchildren, Willie Jones, Brandon Jones, Jennifer Heinley, Mary Howard, Daniel Thaxton and Tye Thaxton. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
