She was predeceased by: her son Phil Dees; her brothers, Milton and Ralph McLanahan (W. L. Dees Jr.); and her great grandchild Ty Veuleman. She is survived by: her spouse W. L. Dees, Jr.; and her children, Vic Dees and Sara Dees Goss. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
