He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Vinzant and Viola White Vinzant; his sisters, Peggy Vinzant LaGrange and Carolyn Vinzant Goodrow; and his niece Pamela Heimbach Carnahan.
He is survived by: his wife Ramona Basco Vinzant; his children, Rodney Vinzant, Jr. and Ashley Vinzant Phillips (Mark); his grandson Douglas Phillips; his brother Julius Vinzant (Kim); his great-uncle Leon White; and his great-aunt Leola Vinzant.
