He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Phillips and Dorothy Phillips; and his brothers, Bobby Lee Phillips, Huey P. Phillips and James Aubrey Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Carrie Setliff Phillips of Flatwoods; his children, Jimmy Phillips of Pineville, Ronnie Phillips of Flatwoods, Melinda Bennett of Flatwoods and Melissa Phillips of Flatwoods; his siblings, John Coutee of Missouri, Edward Phillips of Pitkin, Diane Albert (James) of Bentley and Lessie Lopez of New Mexico; his grandchildren, Jessie, Waylon, Dylan, Tate and Dalton; and his great grandchildren, Lukas and Riley.
