He was predeceased by: his parents, Abe Basco and Anna Basco; and his brothers, William "Coon" Basco, Gary Basco, John "Billy" Basco and Joseph "Cooter" Basco.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria "Pie" Basco of Flatwoods; his children, Charles Lamar Basco of Flatwoods and Karen Bates (Danny) of Flatwoods; his siblings, James Basco of Flatwoods and Elda "Poochie" George of Flatwoods; his grandchildren, Jessica Deen (Matt), Justin Bates and Jay Basco; his great grandchildren, Leah Parpart and Talan Parpart; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jaya Deen, Paisly Deen, Gavin Deen and Max Deen.
