It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Leza Marie Gauthier of Fifth Ward, Louisiana, who passed away at the age of 92, on January 27, 2025. She was predeceased by: her husband Ores Gauthier; her children, Kathleen Stanley, Pamela Jeansonne, Janis Lockwood, Terry Gauthier and Ronald Gauthier; her siblings, Mary Gaspard, Shirley Bernard, Gerald Juneau and Ellis Juneau; and her great grandchildren, Piper Gauthier and Blaine Fetter.
She is survived by: her children, Brinda Sharon (Michael) of Fifth Ward and Glenn Gauthier (Angela) of Haughton. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 32 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fifth Ward (1924 LA-1, Marksville, LA 71351). A rosary was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Martin of Tours Cemetery - Hessmer (1981 LA-114, Hessmer, LA 71341).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Fifth Ward Baptist Church, 181 JV Coco Rd, Marksville, LA 71351.
