She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Virgil Maples; her daughter Virgie Lou Jacques; her parents, Lonnie Ashley and Jannie Ashley; her grandson Dean Travis Wilson; her son-in-law George Scott; her siblings, Talmadge Ashley, Nathan Ashley, William Ashley, George Ashley, Prim Ashley, Rebecca Mercer and Hazel Maples; her children, Laura Sontoyo (Joe) of Ferriday, LA and Earl Wayne Maples of Ferriday, LA; her sister Dorothy Price; and her niece Kathy Jo. She was also cherished by 18 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
