Ethel Hoover Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel Hoover of Ferriday, Louisiana, who passed away on December 21, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice Halford and W. H. Halford; her son Larry Dale Hoover; and her siblings, Derris "Bo" Halford and Dorothy "Dot" Robinson.
She is survived by: her children, Benny Joe Hoover (Wanda Wiggins) of Savannah, GA and Robin Decker (Bill) of Roanoke, VA.; her grandchildren, Chad Hoover, Nikki Gergacs, Jodi Lewis, Shawn Decker, Jeremy Tarver and Adam Tarver; her great grandchildren, Austin, Casey, Braden, Breanna, Charlee, Gracie, Finley, Cameron, Emily, Kobe and Katie; and her siblings, Clifford "Sambo" Halford (Edwina), Harry Michael Halford (Nory), Guy T. Halford (Frankie), Iris Carroll (Johnny), Edith Carter and Jerri Briggs (Sherman). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Due to the current need for social distancing the family will have a private graveside service.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimsers Association and local Hospice.
