It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Artrie Bloodsaw Skipper of Ferriday, Louisiana, who passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ike Bloodsaw and Cenolia Allen Bloodsaw; her husband Clarence Skipper; her son Morris Skipper; and her siblings, Herman, Ike, Johnny, Henry Lee, David, Joseph, Jessie Bloodsaw and Vivian Bloodsaw.
She is survived by: her son Kerry Skipper (Constance "Kym") of Euless, TX; her caregivers, Shawanda Anderson (Damon) of Ferriday and Angeneatt Banks (Mayor Alvin Garrison) of Ferriday; her brothers, Glenn Bloodsaw (Joyce) of Southfield, Boston Bloodsaw of Hopskinville, MI and Floyd Bloodsaw of Detroit, MI; and her cousin Elidee Slain of Ferriday, LA. She is also survived by other relatives and family friends.
