William Alva Simpson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Alva Simpson (Farmerville, Louisiana), who passed away on September 11, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, W. A. Simpson, Sr. and Mignon Smith Simpson; his wife Margaret Evelyn Kelsey Simpson (Mickey); and his sisters, Helen Hayes and Maxine Carter Godman.

He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Merrick (Scott), Peggy Holt (Robert) and Fort Worth of Texas; his grandchildren, Kelsey Mignon Merrick Albrecht (Matt), Stephen Simpson Merrick (Allison), Rachel Elizabeth Holt Hausser (Ford) and Robert Mackinley Holt, III; his great grandchildren, Annie Kay Albrecht, Brennan James Merrick, Albert Ford Hausser III (Tripp) and Lyda Elizabeth Hausser; his siblings, James Dawson Simpson (Juanita) and Elizabeth Young (Huey); and his pet Crown Royal. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
