He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly Otwell; his parents, Jessie Otwell and Lythia Otwell; his siblings, Jessie Otwell, Maggie Fincher and Fannie Bell Prewitt; his grandson Larry Garner; and his great grandchild Aubrey Simpson.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Otwell (Debbie), Bruce Otwell, Pennie Rhodes (Bill), Kim Palmertree (Darryl), Pam Calhoun (Mike), William Otwell (Sarah) and Tina Henning (Malcolm); his brother Milton Otwell (Eva); and his siblings-in-law, Orlin Church and Pamela Wormington (Jack). He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
