He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Simpson and Amy Morris Simpson; and his sister-in-law Sharon Shuff Simpson. He is survived by: his brothers, Marvin Simpson (Skipper) of Sterlington, LA and Kenny Simpson (Kathy) of Conway, LA; his nieces and nephews, Lisa Simpson Reed (Mike) of Denham Springs, LA, Julia Simpson Bush (Mike) of Katy, TX, April Simpson Kaheiki of Conway, LA, Amanda Simpson Mann (Justin) of Sterlington, LA, Michael "Shawn" Simpson (Vannette) of Sterlington, LA, Brantley Simpson (Mandi) of Farmerville, LA and Jonathan Anderson; and his aunt Ophelia Simpson Autrey (Autrey). He is also survived by numerous great nieces and great nephews, one great great nephew.
