She was predeceased by: her husband Zane; her parents, John Slater and Bertie K. Slater; her son-in-law Larry Garrand; and her siblings, Hilda Slater, Evelyn Farrar, Marjorie Henderson, Kathryn Ely, Elizabeth Clary and George Slater.

She is survived by: her daughter Dianne Hicks Garrand.
