He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Lanier; and his parents, Wood Lanier and Pearl Lanier. He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Porter and Kathy Jarrell (Daniel); and his grandchildren, Wendi Washer (Paul), Christi Hogard (Kevin), Hollie Porter Giroux, Brian Blaylock (Robin) and Brad Blaylock (Amy).
