He was predeceased by: his parents, Shep Kennedy and Minnie Kennedy; and his siblings, Lone, Weldon, Ethel, Mae, Jeff, Joe V., James Gale and Euell.
He is survived by: his wife Nobie Kennedy; his sons, Michael Kennedy (Noreen) of Houston and Gary Kennedy (Selene) of Ruston, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Hailey (Tyson) and Christopher; his great grandchild Hayden; his sisters, Grace Pardue (L. E.) and Helen Hogan (Kent); and his sister-in-law Marie Richardson of Shreveport. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association and Antioch Baptist Church.
