He was predeceased by: his wife Myrlene Colton; his parents, Louis Colton and Elizabeth Colton; and his sisters, Ophelia Sanders, Lucille Parker and Elsie Creel.

He is survived by: his children, Cathy Maresh, John of Huntsville, TX, Woodrow "Boggie" Colton, Jr., Beverly of Knight, LA and Pattie Lott of Evans, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family requests that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing.
