He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelby Fontenot and Stella Roberie Fontenot; and his siblings, Wanda Bergeaux, Barbara Burton, Robert, Michael and Donald Fontenot.
He is survived by: his wife Carline Mire Fontenot; his children, Todd Fontenot of Basile, Jeannie Philliber (Barry) of Lafayette and Stephanie Fontenot of Basile; his sisters, Bonnie Boudreaux (Kermit "Smokey") of Iota, Anna Comeaux (Jim) of Basile and Nora Delp of Jennings; his grandchildren, Barry Philliber, II, Jilli Philliber, Jaci Patin (Orry) and Brennen Fontenot; and his great grandchildren, Malani Thompson and Lyla Cloud.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Miguez Funeral Home (114 E Shankland Ave, Jennings, LA 70546). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM at the same location. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 8:00 PM at the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel (114 E Shankland Ave, Jennings, LA 70546). A procession will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 1:15 PM at the St. Jules Catholic Church. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
