He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Boxie, Sr. and Rose Bell Broussard; and his brothers, Joseph Gilbert Boxie, Thomas Boxie and Robert Lee "Zeke" Boxie.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Babineaux Boxie of Arnaudville; his children, Helena Nicole Malbrue (Damon) of Opelousas, Elvinetta Chrystol Brooks (George) of Opelousas, Eugene Boxie, Jr. of Vatican and Ariel Chelsey Fisher (Samuel) of Carencro; and his siblings, Patrick Boxie of New Orleans, Donald Boxie of Mire, Ignatius Boxie (Nedra) of Vinton, Joseph Herman Boxie, Jr. of Palmetto and Rose Marie Boxie Charles (Wilbert) of Opelousas. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren.
