He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Goon" Stutes and Zilda Leger Stutes; his grandchild Mandie Stutes; his great grandchild Leon Stutes; and his siblings, JC Stutes, Pearl Thibodeaux and Hilda Breaux.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Guidry Stutes; his children, Everic Stutes (Sandra), Ric Stutes (Nicole), Lisa Stutes Josey (Gene) and Alishia Stutes; his grandchildren, Caleb Stutes (Kimberly), Cheslie Stutes, Angela Koch, Tina Albert and Crystal Andras; his great grandchildren, Mason Roger, Gage Charrier, Russell Charrier, Zoë Stutes, Cohlen Albert and Abby Albert; his brother Richard Stutes; and his godchild Jamie Stutes Fontenot. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
