Wayne Lavergne Obituary

EUNICE~ It is with heavy hearts that the family of Wayne "Pop" Lavergne announces the loss of their beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, who passed away on February 3, 2022, at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was 72. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Lavergne, officiating.

Wayne, known as "Pop" by his grandchildren, was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Halliburton for over 40 years and enjoyed camping, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and watching his grandson, Brody, race dirt bikes. Wayne will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him especially his loving wife of fifty-two years, Johnette Lavergne of Swords; his children, Wayne Michael Lavergne II of Swords, Barbara Mack of Eunice, and Dawn Blanchard of Swords; brothers, Terrel "Murph" Lavergne and wife, Keri of Swords, Dale Lavergne and wife, Geraldine of Swords, Donvan "Donnie" Lavergne of Lafayette, Kent Lavergne and wife, Brenda of Swords, and Ricky Lavergne and wife, Mary of Swords; sisters, Brenda Mistrot and husband, Pierre of 3 Mile Lake, and Charlotte Chapman and husband, Terry of Swords; two grandchildren, Allison Lavergne and Brody Mack; as well as extended family and friends.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, William Joseph and Thelma Clavier Lavergne.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, February 5th from 9:00 am until time of services.
