She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Fontenot and Aledia Veillon Fontenot; her daughter Susan Schnelle; her grandsons, Dustin Smith and Benjamin Berzas; and her brothers, Daniel Burke Fontenot and Darwin F. Fontenot.
She is survived by: her husband Rayford "Blackie" Berzas; her children, Kim Berzas (Liz Saucier) and Liz Fruge' of Duralde; and her grandchildren, Joshua Chapman, Jamie Darbonne, Ashley LeBouef, Robyn Suire, Raven Loupe, Lacey Courville and Jerod Fruge.
