He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Wellman and Bertha Dietz Bertrand; his son Marcu Leger; his brothers, Paul W. Bertrand, Jr., Burton "Butsy" Bertrand, Wayne "Coonie" Bertrand and Marcus "Booger" Bertrand; and his pet Beau Coup.

He is survived by : his wife Linda Leger Bertrand of Iota; his sons, Joshua Glass of Crowley and Thomas; his sisters, Iona "Sissy" Lantz (Fred) of Iota, Nina "Coco" Bertrand of Iota, Marcha "Tina" Wallace (Buddy) of Evangeline and Cynthia "Cindy" Bouget (Bobby) of Branch; his grandchildren, Scout Glass (Raven) and Kora Glass; and his great grandchildren, Greyson and Ezra Glass. He is also survived by his extended family and dear friends.
