He was predeceased by: his parents, W. C. Cooley and Estelle Mark Cooley; his daughters, Sandy Cooley, Debra Ann Cooley and Barbara Valliere; and his siblings, Jay Cooley, Roy Cooley, Ella Ann Cooley and Emma Jean Ratcliff.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Thomas Cooley; his children, Thomas J. Cooley, Kevin Lee Thomas, Kendrick Cooley, Lester Cooley, Elton K. Robert, Tenille Thomas (Robert), Angenika Cooley, Glenda Robert and Kathy Robert; his siblings, Jessie Cooley, Mark Cooley, Paul Cooley (Malet) and Essie Mae Pittman; his godchild Latrivia Thomas; and his granddaughter Aspyn Reign Hardy. He is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren.
