She is survived by: her daughter Pennie Walden (Doug); her husband Allie Fontenot, Jr.; her children, Keith Fontenot (Madge), Mitchell Fontenot (Julie), Sandy Leon (Richard) and Monica Sanders (Luke); and her brothers, George Gil and Bobby Gil. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
