She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Huckaby and Evora Andrus Huckaby; her stepparents, Eulalie F. Huckaby and Luke Gaspard; and her siblings, Betty Jayne LeCoq, Verda Mae Siffert, Kathleen Briscoe, James Drew Huckaby and Alton "Tony" Huckaby.

She is survived by: her daughters, Belinda Chatman Ashford (Mitchel) of Turkey Creek and Melinda Chatman of Eunice; her sister Rebecca "Becky" Miller of Basile; her grandchildren, Shawn David Fontenot, Mitchel Ashford Jr., Von Dale Ashford, Idea Ashford Wells, Trisha Ann McDaniel and Brandon Ashford; and her great grandchildren, Shawn Michael, Dillon Fontenot, Eaton Fontenot, Trevor, Shaylynn, Donavon, Ashton, Briley, Brianna Ashford and Rylan Fontenot.
