He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Mire and Ivy Mae Comeaux Mire; and his sister Jeanette Evans. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Marie Matte Mire; his children, Toby Mire (Janet), Walter Mire (Jessie), Douglas Mire (Tamara), Wendy Mire (Ray) and Susan Venable (Nolan, Jr.); and his siblings, Herman Mire, Fredrick Mire and Wanda Labbe (Rodrick). He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
