She was predeceased by: her husband James Bordelon; her parents, Lufroy Fontenot, Sr. and Lezia Bellard Fontenot; her siblings, Julie Fontenot, Dennis "Tip" Fontenot, Zannis "Boose" Fontenot, Lufroy Fontenot, Jr., Rufus "Coe" Fontenot and Ethel Payne; and her stepsiblings, Jules Carrier and Vernice C. Prevost.
She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Chancey (John) of Katy, TX, Clay Bordelon (Dionne) of Basile, LA, Brian Bordelon (Rachel) of Tomball, TX, Denise Frederick (Keith) of Rayne, LA and Elizabeth Hennig of Lafayette, LA; and her siblings, Betty Thibodeaux (Herman), Bonnie Hopper, Patsy Blum (Dan) and Joseph Jake "JJ" Fontenot. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
