She was predeceased by: her daughter Sharon Shea; the father of her children Weston Bertrand; her parents, Amar Blanchard and Mazie Fontenot Blanchard; and her brother Hubert Blanchard.
She is survived by: her children, Wade Bertrand (Pam), Elaine Achee (Glenn Ray), Marlene Savant (Don) and Denise Arnold (Michael); her sister Dale Ardoin (Louis); her son-in-law Steve Shea; and her grandchildren, Mike, Michelle, Jacob, Alayna, Weston, Adam, Jared, Stephanie Shane, Joe and Stacy. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Quirk & Son Funeral Home - Eunice (121 S 6th St, Eunice, LA 70535). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Church of Duralde. A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the Reed Cemetery.
