He was predeceased by: his daughter Carla Todor; and his parents, Lester Cormier and Annabelle Matt Cormier. He is survived by: his wife Gerri LeJeune Cormier; his children, Kevin Cormier, Missy Hurt (Gregory) and Kim Davis; and his siblings, Henry Lee Cormier, Lima Jane Kibodeaux, Joann Hebert and Brenda Smith. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
