He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Degeyter and Lillian Quebedeaux Degeyter; and his siblings, John Lee Degeyter, Anna Mae New and Mary Rose Faccion.
He is survived by: his wife June Angelle Degeyter of Eunice; his son Shane Degeyter (Monique) of Sugarland, TX; his siblings, James Degeyter (Norma) of Arnaudville and Betty Ann Allemand (Paul) of Parks; and his grandsons, Caleb Degeyter and Hayden Degeyter of Sugarland, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (1301 W Laurel Ave, Eunice, LA 70535). A prayer was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (310 W Vine Ave, Eunice, LA 70535). A burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the St. Bernard Mausoleum (4371 Main Hwy, Breaux Bridge, LA 70515).
